Technology for Learning: Growing in a Classroom Near You!
The technology team is excited to ring in a new school year for 2014-15! This year, there will be a heavy emphasis on using technology to enhance teaching and learning in LVUSD classrooms. Together we will work toward learning spaces where:
- Teachers are empowered to personalize instruction through the use of a diverse range of resources, tools, and data
- Technology skills, digital citizenship, and media literacy are embedded in daily instruction
- Students use technology and digital media strategically and capably
- Students understand the strengths and limitations of various technological tools and mediums
- Students are able to select those tools and mediums best suited to their communication goals
Of course, none of this will be possible without the support of our amazing teachers, for:

In the coming months we will be unveiling a number of components that will help to meet this ambitious vision for technology in our schools, some of which you may have already heard of. From student personal technology and Google Apps, to Common Core aligned projects and digital resources, to screeners, assessments, and powerful data analysis tools, 2014-15 is sure to be an exciting year!
